Anthony Giles |
| Anthony was born in
Ramsgate in 1961 and has lived most of his life in Kent. After attending Hartsdown Secondary School he studied at the London College of Art & Design and has worked as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator for most of his career. Producing Illustrations for “Hornby, Scalextric and ICI Oils. After studying garden design and horticulture at Hadlow College his career was cut short following a car accident in 2002 resulting in serious back injuries. Living on the Kent Coast he has returned to his love of painting the beautiful Kentish Landscape which surrounds him. Fascinated by the ever changing light and reflections, he paints with a passion the varied coastal views and landscapes of Kent and Sussex. Coming from a family of lifeboat men his seascapes with their characteristic “Two Sails” and typically moody skies reflect not only his passion but respect for the sea. His paintings can be seen in galleries and private collections throughout the South East of England.
